Buhari Apologises to Senate...
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday has apologised to the Senate
over the statement made by his Special Assistant on Prosecution, Okoi
Obono- Oblo.
Okoi Obono- Oblo had earlier said that the Senate lacked the powers
to summon the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Mr. Abubakar
Malami to explain why he dragged the Senate President, Bukola Saraki,
Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and two others to court over
alleged forgery of the Senate Standing Order.
This apology was made by Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the
President on Legislative Matters (Senate), while fielding questions
from journalists in Abuja on Friday.
Enang said that it was wrong for Mr Okoi Obono-Obla to have made such statement.
